Melee Pressure

Classes define your starting identity and passive direction, but stats decide how the build matures.
Monk and Rogue reward timing, angles, and stamina discipline.
Mage and Sorcerer use Intelligence and Arcane to convert distance into burst.
Paladin, Cleric, and Bard give teams survivability, buffs, and safer boss windows.
Guide
Short, practical explanations written for players who want to understand the system before they commit a build.
Pick the class whose mistake pattern you can accept. Monk forgives low weapon complexity. Paladin forgives imperfect defense. Mage forgives distance mistakes until enemies close. Rogue and Sorcerer hit hard but punish sloppy positioning.
Stats, combat styles, Echo songs, and gear let a class bend. Mage, Sorcerer, Cleric, and Paladin can use the magic tree. Bard has instruments and songs instead of the magic tree.
For a first character, Monk teaches combat quickly, Paladin teaches survival, Mage teaches spell spacing, and Bard teaches group awareness once you understand encounter flow.

Each class has a distinct identity, but the best builds still come from matching stats to the way you actually fight.
